SEXY SEXY
Just realized I haven't done a shoe-love post in some time, so figured I just HAD to share this with you! Feast your eyes on the Marc Jacobs Wrap-around Python and Velvet Sandals. So very fabulous.
INKED
Guess what I got for my birthday? My latest ink is the simplest expression of life's meaning for me. I live for the joy in life and now it's mine forever, written in Grandma Eastburn's elegant calligraphic handwriting on my right side rib cage. I'm in love!

BON ANNIVERSAIRE POUR MOI
I'm taking the week off from blogging because it's my birthday week and I'm SUPER busy! Heading out for a long weekend of champagne, mini cupcakes, shopping, decadent food, wine tasting. Oh yea, and my mother is flying in for the celebration! We're heading to Solage in Calistoga this Sunday, so I'll get some good stuff to share with you in the coming weeks. Bisous!

WINDOW SHOPPING
After my visit to the nail salon this evening, where I just had to get bright green nails for tomorrow's festivities, I passed the window of CRIS, a great high-end secondhand shop on Polk Street. No, they weren't open (thank goodness for my wallet), but I did enjoy a little window shopping. Since I'm trying to take advantage of my latest iPhone app, Instagram, I figured it best to snap a few photos. I'm definitely heading in there this weekend to see who designs that sick white dress. It's extremely flattering and the front is slightly modest - perfect for the beautiful, bootylicious back!

ENCORE
What do you get when the Beatles and Jay-Z are mixed? Another brilliant Danger Mouse track and a pretty sick video to go with it.
COZY, CASUAL, ELEGANT
I'm really feeling this look from Vanessa Bruno's F/W 2011 collection. It's essentially perfect for the current San Francisco weather, which is cold and rainy with patches of sunlight. The texture of each piece individually makes the combination look very rich, elegant and edgy all at once.

SPRING FLOWERS
Love this video filmed for the March issue of Vogue Brazil. It's about time for floral, flowy dresses, don't you think?

HELLO YELLOW
I'm a freaking thrift shopping MACHINE these days. It's now difficult to buy anything at full price, between my ah-mazing thrift store finds (perfectly fitting Tahari high-waisted, wide-legged pants for $6....whaaaat??) and my brutal yet rewarding guilty pleasure GILT group. For example, see Karmen Pedarus' bright yellow shirt above (don't know who designed it...eek). I found a very similar, vintage version - same color, same collar, with wide, blousey sleeves - for $5 at Community Thrift in the Mission. No, yellow is not my color, but oh snap...it is now! Once this treasure returns from the cleaners, I'll snap a pic and share.

HERMES
I'm enamored by HB Nam's fashion week photography on STREETFSN.com . It's such inspiration for color, texture and layering, as he typically reflects on the details rather than a head-to-to look (much like Tommy Ton at Jak & Jil Blog). Some days, I'm very lax about accessorizing, and then see images like this and feel ho-hum (Eileen, it's NOT that tough to slap on a few bracelets!) How amazing are these Hermés leather bracelets? They're lovely alone or piled on with other bracelets in varying shapes and styles. The woman in Tommy's image above is CLEARLY a slave to the trends (I mean this in a good way...), with an outfit comprised of the fashionable YSL Arty ring, Celine bag and accessory of the moment, Prada's fur brightly colored fur stole. She looks wonderful!

CANDY STORE COLLECTIVE
As I've mentioned before, Candy Store Collective is a fantastic little San Francisco Mission neighborhood boutique. It's a one-stop shop for unique clothing, vintage jewelry, home goods and stationary. And candy, of course! Their price points aren't outrageous and you'll find one of a kind and limited edition pieces, a portion of which are from local designers. If you're not in the area, visit their online shop for darling girl and guy friendly finds.
P.S. How about that pipe? So coooooooool!

PUCCI FUN
Peter Dundas, Pucci's head designer, knows how to kick up the sexy fun. And why not? I would love to wear this creation. It's insane, but incredible. Just another reason to love fashion and a reminder not to take things too seriously. Get your feathers on, girl!
JAMBOX
I've been looking for something to replace my old JBL speakers and, luckily, I was recently introduced to the kick ass Jawbone Jambox. Completely wireless via bluetooth technology, this small box actually delivers shocking sound and looks pretty rad for a speaker. Available in red, blue, grey and black... I like the red, but silver is sweet, too. Buy your very own here.

These Fall 2011 looks from three consistently great designers are the epitome of cool. It takes a certain kind of woman to pull this kind of stuff off. I try to channel her and rarely succeed. Oh well, just give me those damn Balmain pants and I'll be on my funky fashion loving way (oh they're $4,000? Nevermind!)

GJELINA
If you're ever in LA (Venice specifically...) head to Gjelina on Abbott Kinney for a killer meal. I had the pleasure of dining at this hipper than a hipster spot while down in SoCal for work, and everything was ridiculously delicious. Want to know what I had? Of course, you do....I started off with oysters, then the Burrata w/ anchovies, roasted red peppers and mint on toast, and had a few bites of of parsnips and okra. My main course was the Chestnut Fettucine and it was divine! Since my boss has excellent taste in wine, we drank a 2006 Pouligny Montrachet (ahhhhh sooo good...very, very little Oak) and then an ever so slightly effervescent 2009 Bandol. Finished the meal off with Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp, Butterscotch Pot de Crème with Salted Caramel & Crème Fraiche and Warm Pumpkin & Bitter Chocolate Bread Pudding. Ah-mazing.
TOM BINNS
Yesterday, Gilt Group featured discounted Tom Binns jewelry and I was reminded that I'd been wanting to share his magnificent, color-crazy creations with you. I first discovered his pieces a few years ago and fell in love with their random, whimsical nature. From wildly funky necklaces to dangling pops of neon colored earrings, his work is daring and completely different than anything else on the market now. Check out more of his beautiful pieces here

THE PERFECT RED DRESS
I am SUCH a lucky duck. Ok, so I'm supposed to be on a shopping freeze, but since it's thrift shopping it doesn't exactly count. Right...? ANYWAYS, I found this absolutely stunning Laundry dress at Out of the Closet for a mere $18. It is a killer dress - low, extremely flattering neckline, long column length and clearly a very sexy back. The length is a little long but I'll get it hemmed, then wait for an excuse to wear this out. I also acquired a vintage velvet cape (score!) for $20 and a couple funky tops for a paltry $4 each. Oh yea...so much more fun than regular, full-price shopping because I don't feel bad at all!

BEHIND THE SCENES
Seems appropriate since I'm on the set of a TV shoot today, to share a behind the scenes look of one of the most popular spots out right now. I've been wondering how this all went down and now I know all their secrets! Wieden + Kennedy has really crafted several great ads for Old Spice and it just goes to show that casting is an extremely important step in creating an effective spot. The elaborate process of producing and shooting TV spots is my favorite part of working in advertising!

PONY HAIR
People in my office were freaking out when I told them my Surface to Air buckle wedges were pony hair. Does that mean they killed a pony to make my shoes? Hope not....but they are pretty, eh?

MUSE IN MILAN
How could I not share Garance Doré's photo of rising star Arizona Muse walking for Salvatore Ferragamo's Fall 2011 show?? She is a breathtaking beauty and looks impeccable in this look. I always love Garance's photos. Unlike so many bloggers out there, she believes in the quality of a post rather than quantity, which is something I try to do on this blog. Check out all of Garance's stellar work on her ever-popular blog.
NEST BOWLS
My new place has me hankering for grown-up, yet super fun housewares, like these colorful Nest Bowls from UK's Joseph Joseph. I definitely appreciate when form follows function, and this is such a perfect example of a great look with a completely functional design. Buy your very own, for an actually reasonable price here.

PURPLE & ORANGE?
Pucci's Pre-Fall 2011 show brought about this daring ensemble and I've been thinking about it ever since. Unfortunately, I realized that I don't even have these two colors in my wardrobe! Ahhh....darn. Since I'm on a MAJOR shopping freeze, I'll have to wait to make this look my own, but had to share with you. Maybe one of my loyal readers can take a stab at it?? Ha. I'll be back this weekend with some favorites from Milan and Paris F/W 2011. Just need to sit still for a minute and view all the shows, but heading to LA for work and moving to a new place have made blogging a bit difficult! Life is just SO rough, eh?
LOTUS FLOWER
I'm a Radiohead fan, so absolutely love seeing their odd little man lead singer, Thom Yorke, dance for us in the video for new song, Lotus Flower. This is the first video for their new album King of Limbs. Overall, the album is another hit. They're just a quality, consistent band, right? Download the new album here (for a price, this time!)
